Here is a quite usefull "default.rdp" file. Some parameters where hard to find on the internet; so I'll explain them (search the internet for others) Screen mode id:i:x ; x is an integer. 1 means "not fullscreen". Yes, I'll use a standard window, I'll see my LOCAL taskbar and the DISTANT taskbar. Desktopwidth and height : so that it fills the screen. Depends on your resolution, the LOCAL taskbar size, and so. If it's too small, black borders appears, but if it's too large, sliders will appear (and it's very annoying). Notice the "1024" width : it's my screen full size. The window frame size is not subtracted as we use a maximized window (see below) winposstr:s:0,3,0,0,800,600 ; 6 numbers. The most noticeable one is the second : "3". It means that the window will be maximized. It will fill the screen, except the taskbar. Therefore, the 4 last numbers (posx, posy, width, height) are useless because the window is maximized. connect to console:i:0 : 0 or 1; connects to console or not. Your choice. This option does not appear in mstsc. screen mode id:i:1 desktopwidth:i:1024 desktopheight:i:694 session bpp:i:16 winposstr:s:0,3,0,0,800,600 auto connect:i:0 full address:s:x.y.z.t compression:i:1 keyboardhook:i:0 audiomode:i:0 redirectdrives:i:0 redirectprinters:i:0 redirectcomports:i:0 redirectsmartcards:i:1 displayconnectionbar:i:1 autoreconnection enabled:i:1 username:s:administrator domain:s: password 51:b:0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 alternate shell:s: shell working directory:s: disable wallpaper:i:1 disable full window drag:i:1 disable menu anims:i:1 disable themes:i:0 disable cursor setting:i:0 bitmapcachepersistenable:i:1 connect to console:i:0
